We have noticed the cost of the Google Firebase Billing for the Fiberchat App is generating much higher (Starting from Oct 1 – 7000000% price hike in just one day) and showing usage data which is totally unjustified for the total number of Users in the App.
GCP team may claim that the Billing is high because their service prices are revised and are applicable from October 1, 2023, but even if the revised prices will be applied to the service usage it cannot be significantly higher based on the total App users and service usage.
WE WOULD SUGGEST DOWNGRADING YOUR PROJECT IMMEDIATELY FROM THE BLAZE PLAN TO THE SPARK PLAN IF YOU ARE NOTICING SUCH HIGH BILLS FOR YOUR PROJECTS. ALSO, YOU CAN CLOSE THE BILLING ACCOUNT FROM GCP TEMPORARILY UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS ADDRESSED BY GOOGLE.
